You should register for this one... We are going to host our first ever RPG/RTS LAN. This will essentally be an 18 hour stint where you bring your rig and games to geek out with everyone else while high on caffine. We're going to play some organized tourneys, likely AOE2 and Starcraft, raid and pillage in every other MMORPG you bring, and watch each other kick ass playing games like Fallout 3 or TES: Oblivion.
This is a experimental event, and we want to take it a step further and encourage you come 'in character' dressed in some context appropriate fashion. Whether it's a witty WoW shirt (fail) or a full blown knight costume (ftw), it's up to you. We'll have a contest based on this and the winner (chosen by everyone else) will receive a paid one year subscription to the MMORPG of their choice. We'll have the usual drawings as well for everyone else.
Cost will be the usual $10.00 and it will cover food and drink for the whole event, as well as gain you entry into the prize drawings. We'll have Amp and Monster energy drinks on sale for $1.00 and the coffee place in our parking lot is open until 7:00pm. Food will likely consist of pizza, sandwiches, chips, crackers, fruit, and anything you decide to bring.
To finish the night we'll watch the South Park World of Warcraft episode in HD on a projector!
Space will be further limited at this event, so make sure you register early. We are only allowing 30 people at this event. Consoles and Rock Band will not be allowed, so don't ask. Hope to see you there, stay warm until then.
